New Manager Orientation

New Manager Orientation (NMO) is an HR led series designed to equip managers with the knowledge, skills and resources to effectively and efficiently conduct personnel management here at Kennesaw State University. This training will include an introduction and overview of the systems, processes, guiding principles and governing policies applicable to our organization.

People managers at all levels, whether faculty or staff, are encouraged to attend, particularly those within the first 90 days of their new managerial role.

This series is offered in a hybrid format: a professional development course in OwlTrain followed by a live in-person session for learning, networking, and exchanging best practices. The online course paves the way for an interactive and engaging dialogue during the in-person session.

Prior to attending NMO the following steps must be completed. 

Step One

Complete the “New Manager Success Essentials” online course by clicking the “Start Now” button below. Upon course completion, the seat request for NMO will be processed (pending seating availability).


Step Two

Select your preferred date for the in-person portion of NMO. You will receive an email when your request is approved.
