New Employee Orientation
In addition to providing documentation necessary to begin the employment relationship and activate compensation, Kennesaw's Faculty & Staff Orientation provides an opportunity for new employees to explore applicable benefit plans, gain insight into other fringe benefits, and learn more about Kennesaw State University and its structure. All new employees must attend an orientation with HR regardless of departmental or other campus orientation sessions. Human Resource representatives conducting orientation will collect federally required identification and employment paperwork as well as provide information, assistance and answer any questions you may have.
Those employees not assigned an orientation date in their employment offer letter can contact Human Resources (470.578.6030) to reserve an orientation date. In general, sessions are scheduled on a weekly basis as follows:
Those employees who cannot attend during the normally scheduled sessions may make arrangements with their HR Specialist for another appointment time.
As required by the US Department of Justice, all new employees must complete I-9 documentation and provide the appropriate supporting pieces of identification. Page three of the I-9 form lists all forms of acceptable identification and in what combination they may be used to satisfy this requirement. In addition, all new employees will complete Right To Know Training as required by the "Public Employee Hazardous Chemical Protection and Right to Know Act of 1988" (O.C.G.A 45-22-2).
Parking for Orientation
Sessions will be held in Human Resources in the Town Point Building (3391 Town Point Drive NW, Suite 2000). The building is located off campus, behind Springhill Suites. Parking is available in front of the building.
